Let ConvertBetterAds read your website

We read a handful of your public pages (home, About, offers, services, products) to learn what you sell, your offers and what makes you stand out. It happens when you add the business, and at most once a month after that when you ask us to. Some websites use bot protection that turns every automated visit away, including ours. We never try to get around it, so here’s how to let us in.

Our reader identifies itself with this user agent:

ConvertBetterAds/1.0 (company profile research)

If your site uses Cloudflare (paid plans: Pro, Business, Enterprise)

1. In the Cloudflare dashboard, open your website, then Security → WAF → Custom rules, and click Create rule.
2. Name it “Allow ConvertBetterAds”.
3. Under When incoming requests match, choose the field User Agent, the operator contains, and the value ConvertBetterAds.
4. Set the action to Skip, and tick All Super Bot Fight Mode rules, Browser Integrity Check and Security Level.
5. Click Deploy, then go back to ConvertBetterAds and click Scan website again.

If your site uses Cloudflare’s free plan

The free plan’s Bot Fight Mode can’t make exceptions. Turn it off for a few minutes under Security → Bots, click Scan website again in ConvertBetterAds, then turn it back on. Also make sure Under Attack mode is off while we read the site.

Other security tools (Sucuri, Wordfence, your web host)

Look for an allowlist or “allowed bots” setting and add the user agent above. If you’re not sure, send this page to whoever looks after your website.

Or skip all of that

On your Business details page, choose Paste your website’s text and paste the text from your homepage, About page and any offers or services pages. We read it just like the website. You can also edit every detail directly.
